According to the BBC News (http://www.bbc.com/news/uk-scotland-32760416). The issue of gay ministers will be debated and voted on at the General Assembly in Edinburgh. The assembly, which opens on Saturday (May 16th), will vote to adopt as church law the ordination of ministers in same-sex civil partnerships. If that is approved another vote will be held on Thursday in relation to ministers in same-sex marriages.
Dear brothers and sisters, especially for those who fear God and honour His design and principle of marriage for mankind, you are heartily invited to pray for the upholding of the one man and one woman marriage design and principle as enshrined in the Bible.
My prayer for the Church Scotland is:
"Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be Your name.
Your kingdom come,
Your will be done, on earth as in heaven.
Give members of the Scotland Church today their daily nourishment and enlightenment,
forgive them their sins- especially the confusion and distortion over the marriage ordained by You,
as the Scotland Church forgives those who sin against or refute them.
Save them from this time of trials on whether they can maintain the marriage constitution as ordained by You,
and deliver them from evil.
For the kingdom the power and the glory are yours,
now and forever.
Amen "
Howard, in Christ
